The last of 2012 or the first of 2013?

01/01/2013 by Siddiqui Fayesal

So, I have either ended my calendar year in confusion, or, worse, I have begun the new one in equal, if not more, confusion!

How’s that for ending a year. Or, you know, beginning a new one? I wish I could’ve written a more appealing and more intuitive post signifying the end of the year. Or, you know, the beginning of a new one. But, like you noticed, I was a bit confused. I wanted to hit the “publish” button at the EXACT moment when the watch hit 0000 hrs but something confused me.

At the last few seconds I began wondering which watch should I look at. Does the small tiny rectangle one at the bottom right of my computer screen qualify for a watch? I don’t think so! So I leap off my chair to look at the nice long pendulum that my mom bought from the flea market. Only thing, that watch don’t work no more. At least the pendulum don’t work.

So, I ran to my sister’s room (she has a room. I don’t. All I get is a chair in front of my computer screen. Even that’s not in my room!) to check out their watch. It showed 0004 hrs.

I walked back to my screen cursing everybody I saw. When I rested my bottom on my chair I heard the alarm go off. I forgot I kept a darn reminder on my wrist watch!

I’m actually a moron. Trust me I am. But I’m just not very sure about that either! Maybe I’m not a good moron. You know what I mean? The kind that wouldn’t be allowed to be a part of any moron group meet if there was one… Those kinds…
