Travel: Day 9

26/12/2013 by Siddiqui Fayesal

I just want to finish this now. Something that happened 7 months back is still haunting me. I mean this travel series of Nainital; it just refuses to die. I’ll tell you what? I’ll finish this today itself. I don’t need to tell you about my Travel back to Mumbai because nothing happened as such. Apart from the shit that happened right at the time of booking tickets. We didn’t get AC car tickets.

So we were in class II of some random train that comes to Bombay (I prefer Bombay to Mumbai) and we were in the midst of a man who loved to talk loudly and “hear” movies being played rather than see. Yeah, it was weird. But trust me it was more fun than the morose family we usually meet in the 2 tier AC coaches. “Propah” ladies who wheeze and smile sarcastically thinking we don’t  get it? Well, we do. And the guys! They wear tracksuits in the blistering heat with a hoodie because, oh c’mon don’t you get it, it’s so cool man.

Anyway. I can’t just end it without a few words about Naintal.

It was beautiful. Honeymoon Type A. Just wish there were fewer people…

I’m done.

My readers I apologize for the pint sized post.

My other posts are stagnating because of this non closure.

Siddiqui F.

PS: Aaaahhhh. Closure Attained. I know this is hurried. But, hey, what the heck! There’s more to come 🙂

The entire series can be read here:

Ah! The things we do for closure..

Closure se yaad aaya.. did you read TSWs latest?

  2. Aamil says:

Yeah, people in AC tend to be grumpy. But non AC is so uncomfortable and dirty. Plus, there is always the fear of window snatching and all that. I think we’ll slowly have to get used to the ‘propah’ way of travelling 😛

  3. Finally its done!!! You know what I loved about this travelogue series….the bits about your father 🙂 I wish to read more about him
