Power

My throne was set in stone.
My sceptre was the
Lightening bolt.

My frown divided
The world
And my finger was the
Oceans rise and fall.

My eye saw it all;
Through walls of iron
And curtains of flesh.

My will was made of a
Power far above
My obedient subjects.

The power to rule was
Bestowed upon the
Best of man.

If I’m not he, then there
Isn’t another to
Take it from my hand.

For power begets power,
And violence begets violence.

The bloody wars were fought
For lies and deceit
And were
Paid for in silence.

That silence is my strengthening
Crutch.
That silence is my glorious
Divinity.

My murderous intent is my
Failure.
My killing spree is to set me
Free.
